What 20 Once Again Is About
A sharp-tongued grandmother in her seventies has her photograph taken and walks out of the studio in the body she had at twenty. Twenty on the outside, seventy in memory, she stays in the same house and tells nobody who she is. Her grandson recruits her as the singer in his band and his best friend falls for her. It is the same voice it always was. What changed is that nobody now hears an old woman singing. Leste Chen's Chinese production is a remake of the Korean film Miss Granny. Yang Zishan plays the young version and Gua Ah-leh the old one, and between the jokes about ageing the film slips in the harder subject of not being seen.
