What A Stranger in Town Is About
In the small town of Crownport, the lawyer Bill Adams runs for mayor to break the corrupt ring that holds the town hall; but the press, the court and the electoral board are all in the same men’s hands, and the young lawyer appears to have no chance. An older stranger who has come to the town to hunt starts helping him. Nobody knows who the man is: he is in fact a Supreme Court justice on holiday, and he knows better than anyone how the law can be made to work. Frank Morgan and Richard Carlson appear in Roy Rowland’s sixty seven minute American film; it was completed in 1943.
