What Two Weeks with Love Is About
The Robinson family is spending two weeks of the summer at a resort in the mountains. The elder daughter Patti and her friend both try to draw the attention of the same young man, but she is at a disadvantage from the start because her parents think her too young to be interested in boys. Singing at an amateur show and a dance turn matters in her favour. The film works with the moulds of American musicals of the fifties; the songs are set inside the account and the resort is used like a stage. In a light tone the account says that growing up does not happen by a family’s permission. Jane Powell and Debbie Reynolds appear in Roy Rowland’s ninety two minute American film, completed in 1950.
