B. V. Nandini Reddy's 2011 Telugu film follows Gowtam, a television reporter. After his girlfriend leaves him for someone else he attends her wedding, where he meets Nitya, who has been left by the groom. The two become friends quickly. The film follows the known romantic comedy template but breaks up its chronology; the flashbacks are placed out of order and reveal how the relationship developed piece by piece. Using that structure was not usual in Telugu cinema at the time. The rapport between Nani and Nithya Menen is the strongest element; both went on to become known names in the genre. It was Nandini Reddy's first film and a commercial success in an industry with few women directors. Who it's for: those who like Telugu romantic comedy and light relationship films. Who it's not for: viewers looking for deep conflict; the film keeps its problems light and resolves all of them.
