What Albuquerque Is About
Cole Armin comes to Albuquerque to work for his uncle, John Armin, a hard and pitiless man who runs an ore-hauling freight line and whose one aim is to wipe out the rival line operated by Ted Wallace and his sister Celia. Tiring of his uncle’s methods, Cole switches sides and joins the Wallaces. Lety Tyler, hired by the uncle, changes sides too by warning them of a trap. Ray Enright directed, adapting Luke Short’s novel Dead Freight for Piute and shooting in Cinecolor. Randolph Scott leads, with George "Gabby" Hayes and Lon Chaney Jr. alongside. It is one of those mid-budget, solidly made westerns of the late forties.
