What All of Me Is About
The soul of a dying wealthy woman passes not into the body intended for it but into her lawyer's. He can no longer control the right half of himself. The film ties the idea entirely to physical performance; two wills walking, talking and dressing in one body are shown in long scenes. The narrative carries the trick to the end without tiring of it. Carl Reiner directed, with Steve Martin and Lily Tomlin; it is among Martin's best remembered physical comedy work. Who it's for: those who like eighties physical comedy and body-swap premises. Who it's not for: viewers wanting a coherent construction; the film never explains its logic.
