Armour of God

Jackie Chan's 1986 film follows a former singer who collects relics. A cult abducts his friend's girlfriend. He is asked to find the pieces of an armour. The film joins the adventure shape to fight comedy; the narrative makes its dangerous stunts the main show. The director also leads. During filming he fell from a tree, fractured his skull and nearly died. It was shot in Yugoslavia. Who it's for: those who like Hong Kong adventure of the nineteen-eighties. Who it's not for: viewers troubled by how the women are drawn; the film mostly uses them as people to be rescued.
