What Remember us Is About
Kaan has built a good career through hard work and lives in Istanbul with his wife and two children, while his father Eşref, back in Foça, gets a phone call now and then. When his father falls ill and needs surgery, Kaan brings him to his own house. Eşref, a mild man who makes trouble for nobody, feels himself a burden there and wants to go home. What follows are hard decisions for Kaan and an accounting with his own conscience. Çağan Irmak shot it in Istanbul and İzmir and it opened in November 2018. Altan Erkekli plays the father, and the film builds on who ends up doing the caring rather than on pity.
