What Boogie Is About

Bogdan Ciocazanu is on a seaside break with his wife and four year old son. He runs into his two closest friends from school on precisely the date that reminds all of them of their best drinking trips and their adventures as young men. Feeling that between work and family the time is no longer his, Boogie takes a single night's dose of freedom and sets about ticking off every item of his youth. In the morning, having seen the lie in the repetition, he goes back to his wife. Radu Muntean uses the standard method of the Romanian New Wave: long takes, conversations in real time and a gaze that lets nobody off.
