What Breaking Olympia: The Phil Heath Story Is About
Phil Heath won Mr. Olympia seven times and came to the edge of an eighth that would have set a record. Brett Harvey's 2024 documentary follows the eighteen years behind that: injuries the stage never showed, pressure from the press and from rivals, and the internal hierarchy of the sport itself. Dwayne Johnson, Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, Kai Greene, Brandon Curry and Dexter Jackson are among those who speak. What the film is interested in is not the size of anything but the cost of turning a body into a career, and what the obligation to stay on top does to a person. Heath's own account is open, and the losses are left in.
