Bugs Bunny Superstar

The documentary is about a shack at the back of the Warner lot. The people who worked there called it Termite Terrace. In the thirties and forties, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny were drawn in that shack. The film includes home movies shot by the staff at the time, with Bob Clampett, Tex Avery and Chuck Jones appearing as young men. Clampett narrates: how they worked, how they found the joke, and how little the studio thought of them. Larry Jackson directs; ninety minutes, narrated by Orson Welles. Nine complete Warner cartoons are shown inside the film. It is not about where Bugs Bunny came from but about the people who built the place he came from, all of whom were still alive and told it themselves.
