Solo Leveling -ReAwakening-

Gates have been opening around the world for years, and hunters fight the creatures that come out of them. Sung Jinwoo is the weakest of those hunters: E-rank, constantly injured, and unable to stop working because of his mother's hospital bills. In a double dungeon most of his party is killed, and as one of the survivors Jinwoo becomes the player of a strange system: a screen gives him quests, and completing them makes him stronger. The production is really a compilation: the events of the first season are recut down to ninety minutes, with the first two episodes of the second season attached at the end. The story is not new; the presentation is. Shunsuke Nakashige directed for A-1 Pictures. The source is Chugong's South Korean web novel and the comic adapted from it. The format brings its own problem: the recap runs fast and does not introduce the characters properly to anyone who has not seen the series, while for anyone who has it is repetition. The new material only arrives in the last half hour. Who it is for: anyone waiting for the series and wanting to start the second season in a cinema. Who it is not for: anyone who dislikes anime compilations. Two thirds of the film has already been broadcast, and watched as a standalone the story stops halfway.
