What Captain January Is About
During a violent storm a lighthouse keeper finds a baby on the shore. The girl has washed up tied to a piece of wreckage. The man adopts her. Over the years the two of them become inseparable. The lighthouse turns into a home for her. Then the child’s real family comes to light. The family want her to live with them. So the man is caught between having raised her and having to let her go.
