What Chameleon Is About

Gábor and Tibi grew up together in an orphanage and clean offices at night, picking their targets out of whatever people leave on their desks. Gábor then presents himself to those women as a man cut precisely to their needs: he proposes, he gets into the accounts, and he disappears before the wedding. Cleaning a psychologist’s office he finds the file of Hanna, a dancer injured in a car accident, and this time the trick does not come off cleanly. Krisztina Goda runs the comedy and the thriller side by side and lets the audience see the con man’s mask from the first minute. Hungary submitted it for the foreign film award at the eighty-second Oscars.
