What Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection Is About

Set after the end of the series, the film opens with the new order being shaken: Nunnally is abducted and the trail leads to a country called Zilkhstan. The group is confronted with the idea of bringing Lelouch back, and this is where the film makes the most contested decision in the franchise. Goro Taniguchi directed. The story runs on large mecha battles, political bargaining and a new application of the Geass power. Its problem is that it softens the sharpness of the series ending, which fans still argue about. Visually it sits above television standard and the combat is noticeably more fluid. Who it is for: viewers who have finished the Code Geass series. Who it is not for: newcomers, since nothing is explained from the beginning.
