What Don't Die Without Telling Me Where You're Going Is About
A cinema projectionist living alone discovers, through a run of strange events, that he is the reincarnation of one of the inventors of cinema. He comes to believe that the woman he sees in his dreams is the eternal companion who has been with him across centuries. The more he follows that belief the more the gap between reality and imagination closes, and his job, throwing other people’s dreams onto a wall, moves to the centre of his own life. Eliseo Subiela’s hundred and thirty minute Argentine film gathers love and cinema around the same idea of a miracle. Darío Grandinetti and Mariana Arias take the leads, with Oscar Martínez and a young Leonardo Sbaraglia in the cast. It was completed in 1995.
