Ejen Ali: The Movie 2

Muhammad Usamah Zaid's 2025 Malaysian animation is the second feature from a long-running spy series. Ali is assigned as pilot of a new armoured suit that works with artificial intelligence support. The film is built on action. The suit's capabilities are shown one by one; the narrative also takes up the tension inside the agency itself, with the question of whom Ali can trust at the centre. The animation is considered large in scale for the Malaysian industry and the series runs alongside a television show. The pace is high and the narrative assumes knowledge from earlier instalments. Who it's for: children who follow the series and those who like action animation. Who it's not for: viewers new to it; the film begins without introducing its characters.
