What Family Tree Is About

The Muller family is of Alsatian origin. The oldest of them is Frederick. The man worked in the management of forests. His eldest son Charles dies. On the day of the funeral everyone gathers. But Frederick does not come to it. The rest of the family cannot make sense of that. His other son and his granddaughter wait for an explanation. In the end the man tells them why. What he tells them reaches back to the war years. In those years Frederick was sent to a camp for being homosexual. Something Charles kept hidden for years also comes out. Everything the family knew is put together again. Guy Marchand and Francoise Fabian take the leads, with Sabrina Seyvecou and Yannick Renier also in the cast, in the French film Jacques Martineau and Olivier Ducastel made in 2010.
