What Fists of Legend Is About

A television channel builds a show around ordinary middle-aged men who were once legendary street fighters, puts them in a cage and offers prize money with almost no rules. Three of the contestants share a past: the same school, the same events. One runs a noodle shop now, one works in an office, one never got his life back together. Kang Woo-suk, adapting a webtoon, keeps cutting between the fights and what happened decades earlier, so that every punch in the cage answers one that was never thrown. It runs two and a half hours and is far more interested in a reckoning at forty than in the fighting. Hwang Jung-min leads.
