Hwang Jung-min
24 films · 1 series
The piece calls two films small parts, The Wailing and Asura: The City of Madness; our catalogue writes Hwang Jung-min second in each of those casts. I cannot resolve the contradiction, and can say only this much: cast order is not screen time. Jung Siwoo's piece relays something else as well, that Yim Soon-rye described him before he was known as an uncut stone, and it was she who directed that film, Waikiki Brothers. You Are My Sunshine took him the actor category at the Blue Dragon and at the Korean Film Awards. He has the lead in Ode to My Father and in Veteran, and the piece says both were seen by ten million.
