What Happy Wedding Is About
Hari, a graduate in engineering, begins to think about marriage on his mother’s insistence. Arranged meetings, brokers, bus journeys and a circle of friends build the story, and each step widens a little further the gap between what the young man wants and what his family expects. The film does not present marriage as a goal but shows it as a system of pressure, and does so with comedy. The account gives daily life in Kerala in detail. The presence of a large group of friends sets the film’s tone. Siju Wilson and Sharafudheen appear in Omar Lulu’s hundred and twenty eight minute Malayalam language film, completed in 2016.
