What Hello Ghost! Is About
A man’s attempt to take his own life comes to nothing. When he returns from the hospital four ghosts have come back with him, and not one of them leaves him alone. Each of the ghosts has a last wish that was never carried out. If the man sees those wishes done, a place will open for him too on the other side. The film carries the question of loneliness together with comedy. That the dead are the ones explaining life to the living is the real device. The work is an official remake of a 2010 South Korean film. Tseng Jing-hua and Ivy Shao appear in Hsieh Pei-ju’s hundred and four minute Taiwanese film, completed in 2023.
