What Sitaare Zameen Par Is About
Gulshan is a basketball coach. After a serious lapse in his career the court sentences him to community service: he is to coach a team of players with intellectual disabilities. He does not want the job, does not feel he belongs there, and has no idea how to behave in the first days. In time he comes to know the players one by one and sees that each has a strength of his own. In the end he takes the team to the national championship. R. S. Prasanna directs, with Aamir Khan as Gulshan and Genelia D'Souza alongside him. It is adapted from a Spanish film. Most of the players on the team are appearing in front of a camera for the first time.
