Hi, Nellie!

Brad Bradshaw is the managing editor of a newspaper. A man called Frank Canfield has gone missing in the city. The other papers accuse him of taking money from the bank. Bradshaw refuses to run that story. He takes Canfield for an honest man. Every paper carries it and his does not. His publisher takes him off the job for it. His new work is to write the lovelorn column. In it he answers readers about their troubles in love. For two months he feels sorry for himself. Then he starts taking the work seriously. Before long the column is the talk of the town. But Bradshaw wants his old job back. For that he has to find Canfield and the missing money. Paul Muni and Glenda Farrell take the leads in Mervyn LeRoy’s American film of 1934.
