In Restless Dreams: The Music of Paul Simon

The documentary takes up Paul Simon. Simon is a musician who writes songs. His career passed through many phases over the years. The film goes back through them. First there are the years when he recorded as Tom and Jerry. Then comes the Simon and Garfunkel period. After it the album Graceland. Rhythm of the Saints is inside the account too. At the same time it looks at the present. Simon is working on his new record, Seven Psalms. The songs on it are about faith and mortality. That work went on through the pandemic. In the same period Simon is dealing with hearing loss. The camera records the days in the studio. Art Garfunkel also appears in the two hundred and nineteen minute documentary. Alex Gibney’s American production was finished in 2024.
