What Just Another Love Story Is About

Jonas photographs crime scenes in Copenhagen, is married with two children, and has a life that works and is empty. In a road accident the young woman in the other car is badly hurt, and when guilt takes him to the hospital her family mistakes him for the fiance she met in Asia. When Julia wakes with damaged sight and gaps in her memory, Jonas does not correct the lie, he continues it. His own family on one side, a stolen life on the other. Ole Bornedal knows this is monstrous and builds the film from there, never letting the man off.
