Karniggels

Köppe has just finished his police training. He is young and shy. Where he is posted is a small town in northern Germany. The town is in the middle of nowhere. There is little for a policeman to do there. So Köppe fills his time some other way. There is a mysterious business of dead cows. He goes after that. Meanwhile he flirts with two women. He also makes friends with a small-time crook. The man is likeable and the two get on. The account is built on the emptiness of provincial life. Bernd Michael Lade and Julia Jäger take the leads, with Inga Busch and Ingo Naujoks also in the cast, in Detlev Buck’s German comedy of 1991.
