Kosmos

Kosmos comes down out of the mountains into a border town in tears, as though running from someone. The moment he arrives he pulls a boy out of the river who would otherwise have drowned, and the town takes him at once for a worker of miracles. Kosmos neither eats nor sleeps. All he needs is tea and all he takes is sugar, by the handful. He climbs trees and sits on the thin branches like a bird. And he has one desire that unsettles everybody: he is looking for love. Reha Erdem directs, with Sermet Yeşil as Kosmos and Türkü Turan alongside him. It was shot in Kars, under snow. It sets a man whose purpose nobody can name beside a town that cannot name what it wants either.
