Lahoriye

The film is about a love that does not recognise borders. Kikar Singh comes from a family whose land sits right on the line on the Indian side; across from it, in Pakistan, Ameeran lives and works with her family on a kinnow orange farm. Kikar falls for her first, then she begins to look back the same way, and their story has to walk across a divided geography. Amberdeep Singh wrote and directed the hundred and forty minute Punjabi language film, which builds the still living effect of the partition of Punjab out of the shared culture of two people from different religions and different countries. Amrinder Gill, Sargun Mehta, Yuvraj Hans and Nimrat Khaira star, and it was a considerable commercial success.
