Klava is a woman who lives alone and is bored with her life. One day she places an advertisement: she is looking for a companion to live with. The one who answers it is Valentin, a retired circus performer. What forms between them is a relationship that is not solid from the start. Valentin has his own past and his own habits; Klava has expectations. The film neither romanticises the relationship nor makes fun of it. It comes from the vein of Soviet cinema in the mid eighties that turned back to everyday life. What loneliness makes a person decide sits at the centre of the story. Irina Kupchenko and Aleksandr Zbruev appear in Viacheslav Kryshtofovych’s ninety minute Soviet film, completed in 1986.
