Merry Christmas Octopus

Eva and her little brother Johnny have a strange secret. They keep two octopuses at home. These are not ordinary animals. They are made of some unknown matter and they can think. The children tell nobody. Meanwhile there is another problem in the house. Their parents are on the edge of separating. Christmas is in danger because of it. Then a scientist gets involved. The man is curious about the matter the octopuses are made of. He sets out to use them as fuel. The children try to save the family and the octopuses at once. The octopuses were made with stop motion. Dagmar Havlová Veškrnová and Pavel Zedníček appear in the ninety two minute film, a Czechoslovak, German, Swiss, Austrian, French and Portuguese co-production Jindřich Polák finished in 1987.
