What Lucy, the Menace of Street Is About
Lucie, six years old, wants to spend the last week of the holidays with a group of older children led by a boy named Osvald. To keep her out they set her a condition: she has to steal something from a department store. She manages it, and in the box she comes away with she finds two living plasticine imps, which begins the first part of an adventure that could go anywhere. Jindřich Polák’s seventy four minute film is a Czechoslovak and West German co-production, and it is in fact the cinema version of a six part series shot in 1980. Žaneta Fuchsová plays Lucie, and the plasticine imps are voiced by Jiřina Bohdalová and Josef Dvořák.
