What Pan Tau - der Film Is About
Pan Tau, the friend of all children, this time helps the grown ups as well. A producer in difficulty decides to shoot another Pan Tau film, but the old actor Karasek is no longer young enough for that almost weightless walk. Then a man called Novak turns up; he resembles Pan Tau closely enough to be his twin, and he lands every turn perfectly. On top of that he solves every problem between people as though by magic. One question is left over: who is Novak? The account takes a hero familiar from the earlier Pan Tau films, puts him into the world of grown ups and shows that he works there too. Otto Simanek plays the lead in Jindrich Polak’s ninety minute film, completed in 1988.
