Movie Days

The film tells a boyhood spent in Iceland in the nineteen sixties. At the centre of the account is a boy and the daily world around him. Cinema is an important part of that world, and the film’s title comes from there. The story is based on what Fridrik Thor Fridriksson himself lived through. He builds it loosely rather than point for point. The account moves through scenes rather than a straight plot. The Iceland of the period becomes the real subject of the film. Örvar Jens Arnarson and Rúrik Haraldsson are in the cast. This eighty two minute Danish, German and Icelandic coproduction was completed in 1994.
