Mr. Denning Drives North

Denning is a well off aircraft designer. His daughter has a boyfriend. The man is a bad sort. Denning tries to buy him off. The conversation turns into a fight. He strikes him, the man falls and dies. Denning does not call the police. He leaves the body in a lonely spot on the road north. He wants it to look like an accident. Weeks pass and the body is not found. That silence wears him down. In the end he tells his wife. The two of them start making enquiries. The enquiries may make things harder still. John Mills and Phyllis Calvert appear in the ninety three minute film, a British production Anthony Kimmins finished in 1951.
