Smiley Greevins is a small boy. He lives in a town called Murrumbilla in Australia. The town lies out in the back country. He is mischievous and full of imagination. His father Bill is a drover. His work keeps him away from home. He is fond of drink as well. His mother keeps the house together with difficulty. Smiley wants a bicycle. He decides to earn the money himself. He takes on odd jobs. He tries to put something aside. But he keeps landing in trouble. The people of the town know him well. The film tells a story of childhood. Colin Petersen and Bruce Archer appear in the ninety seven minute film, a British production Anthony Kimmins finished in 1956.
