What Mr. Rossi Looks for Happiness Is About
Mr Rossi wants to get away from his job, his boss, the traffic and the alarm clock that rings at the same hour every morning; to find happiness he decides to go as far away as possible. He does it with a golden whistle given him by a fairy: when he blows it he lands in prehistory, in ancient Rome, in the Middle Ages, on a desert island, in ancient Egypt, in the Wild West or in the future. Beside him is Gastone, his boss’s small and spoilt dog, and across these adventures the man comes to see that what he was looking for was much closer to hand. Bruno Bozzetto’s eighty minute Italian animation was completed in 1976 and is one of the features in the Signor Rossi series.
