What Ram Lakhan Is About
Thakur Pratap Singh is killed by his own cousins, and his wife Sharda and their two small sons are thrown out of the house. Sharda takes a vow: she will not put her husband's ashes into the Ganges until her sons have settled his account. Years later both sons are policemen, but not the same kind. Ram works honestly; Lakhan is after getting rich fast and takes bribes. What each understands by revenge is different too. Subhash Ghai's film was the second highest grossing Indian production of 1989. Rakhee, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Dimple Kapadia and Amrish Puri are in the cast.
