What Roger Waters: This Is Not a Drill - Live from Prague Is About
The film is a recording, prepared for cinemas, of a concert given in Prague. The programme holds some twenty pieces from the musician’s work with his former band and from his own albums, together with one new song. The staging is built with large screens and visual material; the show is designed as much as an open political statement as a concert, and that view belongs entirely to the man on the stage. The recording does not soften that stance but gives it as it is. The recording gives the stage in wide shots and takes the reaction of the audience into the frame as well. The hundred and forty four minute recording by Sean Evans and Roger Waters was completed in 2023.
