Sangre del Toro

The documentary takes up the director Guillermo del Toro. The account starts from his childhood memories. From there it goes to the myths and the monsters of the culture he grew up in. Del Toro talks about where his own films came from. The work does not build this as a straight life story. The account moves like a labyrinth and works by turning back. David Cronenberg and Junji Ito also speak in the film. Both of them stand close to del Toro’s own interests. The figure of the monster becomes the common axis of the account. Yves Montmayeur’s British and French coproduction, eighty five minutes long, was completed in 2025.
