Secretul lui Nemesis

The film is set in a large apartment block in Bucharest. The manager of the block is a former party official. He has fallen out of favour in politics. He was pushed out of his post. Now he heads the tenants’ association. He carries his old habits into it. He works through blackmail and unsigned letters. He harasses the women in the building. He puts pressure on the tenants. A criminal network forms around him. The honest tenants are unhappy with it. They try to claim their rights. That search does not go easily. The film tells it in the shape of a comedy. The administrative order of the period stands in the background. Gheorghe Dinică and Carmen Galin appear in the one hundred thirteen minute film, a Romanian production Geo Saizescu finished in 1987.
