What Slayers Great Is About
The world of Laia Einburg, who wants to end the long feud between her golem making father Galia and her equally ambitious brother Huey, is turned upside down by Lina Inverse and Naga, who save her from a golem running out of control. A grateful Galia asks Lina to model for his work; not to be outdone, Huey makes the same request of Naga. What comes out of it is a pair of towering remote controlled golems in the image of the two sorceresses, and Galia takes matters as far as turning Lina into a magical power source. Officially the golems were built for a contest to decide who will rule the city of Stoner, but what the two lords really intend is an army of conquest. Hiroshi Watanabe’s sixty one minute Japanese animation was completed in 1997.
