What Slayers: The Motion Picture Is About
Lina Inverse is a sorceress and a thief, as famous for her appetite and her ego as for her power. A dream that keeps returning sends her to an island, where she runs into a very old evil and the story of two lovers pulled apart. Dragged into the past, she has to put history back where it belongs, and the spell she trusts most refuses to work this time. This is the first feature to come out of Slayers, which began as Hajime Kanzaka's light novels. It is set before the television series and puts Naga, who is not in the show, alongside Lina. Megumi Hayashibara's voice is half of who the character is. Sixty-five minutes, fast, and entirely unwilling to take itself seriously.
