What Summer Ghost Is About
Forty minutes, not a feature. The urban legend says that if you set off fireworks at an abandoned airfield, the summer ghost will come and answer any question. Three high school students turn up there one day, each with a private reason for going. When the ghost, Ayane, appears, she tells them one thing: only people close to death can see her. This is loundraw's first film as director. The drawing is lovely and the tone is not light. It is about dying, and it does not soften why those teenagers came.
