What That Brennan Girl Is About
Ziggy Brennan was raised by her mother, Natalie. Natalie is showy and irresponsible, and wants everyone to take them for sisters. Ziggy learns young how to get money out of men. Later Denny Reagan, an older man, brings her in on his own dealings. Ziggy takes to that way and lives by it for a while. One night she meets Mart Neilson, a sailor, an honest man who came off a farm. The two of them fall in love. When Mart goes off to the war, Ziggy finds she is pregnant. The film presents her neither as someone to be rescued nor as a culprit. James Dunn and Mona Freeman appear in Alfred Santell’s ninety five minute American film, completed in 1946.
