The Beginning

The film opens with a crash. After the crash a group of passengers is stranded in the desert. No help arrives and they are left on their own. They try to come to terms with the new conditions. There is an oasis nearby. The most privileged person in the group is a lawyer. What the lawyer earns is far above the work he does. That man declares himself the dictator of the oasis. He gives the oasis his own name as well. The account follows the order set up after that declaration. The film runs adventure, comedy and drama together. Ahmed Zaki and Yousra take the leads, with Gamil Ratib and Safia ElEmary also in the cast, in Salah Abu Seif’s Egyptian film of 1986.
