The Fuller Brush Girl

Sally and Humphrey are thinking of marrying. They want to buy a house. But they do not have enough for the deposit. Sally was a switchboard operator and loses her job. So she takes up selling door to door. What she sells is brushes and cleaning goods. The film is a follow up to one about a man doing the same job. In one of the houses she walks into an incident. After that she finds herself inside a murder investigation. Behind it all there is a smuggling operation. The police suspect the two of them. Sally and Humphrey set out to find the real culprit. The chase carries on aboard a freighter. Lucille Ball and Eddie Albert take the leads in Lloyd Bacon’s American film of 1950.
