The Secret Heart

Larry Addams was a pianist. He never got where he meant to go. When he died he left two small children behind. One is Penny and the other is Chase. His wife Lee is left as well. She becomes a mother to them. She takes on the debts and sees to the children’s upbringing. Years pass and Penny grows up, but her father’s death does not let go of her. She plays the piano too. What she still feels for him narrows her life. Lee and Chase try to help her, which means going back into the family’s past. Things unsaid for years come out of it. Claudette Colbert, June Allyson, Walter Pidgeon and Lionel Barrymore appear in the ninety seven minute film, an American production Robert Z. Leonard finished in 1946.
