When Ladies Meet

Mary is a writer. The novel she is working on is about a love triangle. Her own life is heading somewhere similar. She is drawn to her publisher. He is married. Mary has a suitor of her own. His name is Jimmy. Jimmy wants to put a stop to it. He works out a plan. He introduces Mary to the publisher’s wife. He does not tell her who the woman is. The two women talk without knowing who they are to each other, and the talk comes round to the very subject of the novel. Joan Crawford, Greer Garson, Robert Taylor and Herbert Marshall appear in the hundred and five minute film, an American production Robert Z. Leonard finished in 1941.
