What The Sentimental Teaser Is About
A young and unusual radio presenter runs a programme in which listeners phone in and tell their own love stories. The film follows a single day of that broadcast and gives the three calls that come in as three separate stories; two men and a woman are on the line. What they describe is full of misunderstandings, quarrels and passion, and taken together it becomes a cross section of Chilean society. Each of the three stories is closed in itself; the only thing joining them is that they came down the same line. The film comes from a radio programme that really existed, and the man who presented it plays himself. Cristian Galaz’s eighty seven minute Chilean film was completed in 1999.
